Buderim Structural RenovationFrom Dated to Modern Executive Living
This was in need of a structural renovation as it was tired and dated double brick house. It was in a poor condition with overgrown gardens with a damaged kitchen and broken bedroom doors. Additionally there was extensive underpinning damage where sections of the house had sunk by up to 140mm causing extensive cracking in both the internal and external walls. The high retaining walls surrounding the rear of the house and the brown interior bricks made the interior rooms extremely dark.
The quality of the original construction made the house worth renovating, the underpinning was repaired using urethane injection which lifted and closed the wall gaps. The interior brick was covered using gyprock and the external kitchen cabinet skins were replaced and a stone overlay was used on the benchtops and large polished floor tiles were used in all wet areas giving it a clean modern finish.
The Changes Were Dramatic
Removing the rear retaining wall and screening opened up the light to the interior of the house and provided a massive outdoor entertainment area. Sheeting all the interior walls has softened the interior whilst using light colours has given the interior a clean and bright aspect whilst the new kitchen interior and stone bench tops have modernized the executive finish of the house.
